Well, that was a bit of a fizzer, wasn’t it? 

With reserves set high on The Block this year, it seemed many buyers were hesitant to push past the $3 million mark. Britt and Taz came out on top, with their home sparking the only real bidding war of the night - while most of the other couples were left disappointed with their final results or went home without a sale at all. 

Personally, I thought some of the designs missed the mark. The styles and colour palettes felt a little mismatched - like too many Pinterest boards thrown together without a consistent flow or character from one room to the next.

The bronze see- through bath tub just gave 80’s vibes- but they do say everything old is new again…and colours go around in cycles. Also some of the facades just didn’t quite hit the premium note you’d expect at that price point. 

Here’s hoping the remaining properties find their buyers soon. Regardless of the drama (and there’s always plenty of that!), every couple deserves credit for the hard work and long hours they put into bringing these homes to life.
