So what is a drying cabinet anyway?

Could the drying cabinet or airing cupboard be the new laundry must-have?

If you watched the most recent season of The Block last year you will have seen contestants include vented drying cabinets in their laundry rooms. Why haven’t we seen more of these miraculous appliances before now? They are genius!

You simply hang your shirts, jackets or any items you’re not able tumble dry in the cabinet and the combination of heat and gravity dries and straightens the garments. They also have deodorising and sanitising properties. They are ideal for delicate garments and also have a section to dry shoes. Imagine no more dry cleaning!

They are not cheap though - around $3000 - but next time we build I am budgeting for one of these!
