To handle, or not to handle? That is the question.

A popular trend at the moment is to skip handles on kitchen cupboards and have concealed or bevelled edges. Sometimes also referred to as shark nose or finger pull cabinetry.

The clean lines provide a modern edge to your kitchen, keeping the overall look simple and uncomplicated. However, it doesn’t always mean the end of fingerprints, particularly on glossy or sheen finishes. So be prepared for wiping down cupboards to get rid of those sticky fingerprints!

When it comes to handles, the standard inclusions offered by many builders can ooccasionally seem outdated. However, some of our builders are offering gorgeous pull-like lever handles (which are very slimline) in black or chrome. Round chrome knobs are also making a comeback with Hamptons style kitchens.

If your builder doesn’t provide anything other than the standard square 200mm handles, remember there are some great handles at Bunnings or other hardware stores that can easily be changed over. There are also great options available online and this is a quick and easy way to add impact in your kitchen if you want to change it up down the track. A word of warning though, chrome handles still show finger prints. So whether you opt for handle-less or handles, there is always some cleaning to be done one way or another!
