Does your new handbag match your kitchen?

Handbags are getting bold and so are kitchen cabintery colours!

Are you adventurous enough to add in bright green, deep blue or sunny yellow feature cupboards to your kitchen? Or perhaps your fave pink heels may inspire your cabinetry decisions?

As everyone knows I adore blue and when I build again in the future, my kitchen will definitely have blue elements. But for those wanting to add more of a statement, green and yellow are the new trends to look out for.

Yellow cabinetry can bring a feeling of sunshine and light to your interior and it wouldn’t matter where your kitchen was placed as the light would be reflected.

On the other hand, a dark green kitchen adds drama, but you need to consider which particular cupboards would be this colour, how those cupboards tie into the surrounding areas, and whether the overall colour would make the kitchen too dark.

Pink tones remain popular for décor elements and they can also carry through to kitchens - blush or clay hues can add warmth and make the space inviting. Why not embrace your inner Barbie!

It’s important to consider how long these trends will last…greens and yellows are not as timeless as whites and greys, for example.

But if you’re feeling adventurous, a pop of colour may be just what you need to spruce up your existing kitchen or add the wow factor to your new build. And if you can’t decide – combine two colours!
